13 years of general clinical practice in western herbal medicine is complemented by specialist training and experience of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Asperger’s syndrome (AS). A Master of Science degree in Western Herbal Medicine and ASC was followed by a doctorate funded by Edinburgh Napier University and endorsed by the National Autistic Society, which focussed on girls with AS. Specialist training undertaken includes mental health issues, especially anxiety & insomnia, diet & nutrition, and sensory sensitivities; conferences and courses attended include:

Catriona has a passion for the outdoors, natural and preventative health care, diet and nutrition and for passing on her knowledge and enthusiasm for these things. Previous teaching experience includes university lecturing, training clinic supervision & professional mentoring. She is active in campaigning for the continuance and improvement of professional training in western herbal medicine, and public access to herbal medicine. She is Company Secretary of the West of Scotland Herbal Group.
Catriona practices Herbal Medicine at Woodland Herbs on Thursday afternoon and Saturday mornings, however she can sometimes attend appointments outside this time if required. Please Contact Us for details.
