Transport, Parking and Access

Transport, Parking and Access
The shop and clinic are located within easy reach of almost all of Glasgow being within 5 minutes of the M8 motorway and within easy walking distance of both Charing Cross Train Station and St. Georges Cross Underground.

Woodland Herbs is accessed through a ground level entry, with four ground floor clinic rooms with disabled access doors.

Charing Cross Train Station is approximately 10 minutes walk from Woodland Herbs. The trains run through Queen Street Station (not via Central Station) and there are direct trains from Glasgow to Milngavie/Dalmuir/Balloch/Helensburgh and Glasgow to Airdrie/Springburn. For other lines please change at Queen Street. A useful walking map is available at Walking from Charing Cross Station. For Anderston Train station visit Walking From the City Centre Train Stations

We are located fairly near to St. Georges Underground Station. It is approximately 500 yards, 8 minutes walk. Take the exit signposted to St. Georges Road, then turn right on St. Georges Road and walk to Charing Cross junction. At Charing Cross turn right down Woodlands Road and walk past Grassroots Wholefood Shop. We are just past the petrol station.
Alternatively Kelvinbridge Underground is approximately the same distance away. Useful maps are avialable at: Walking from Glasgow West End Subways

We are located on the Number 11, 4 and 18 bus routes which go along or near Woodlands Road. The Number 18 bus has a stop at Charing Cross 200 yards away.

Woodlands Road is excellently placed for access by car. It is easily reached from the M8 using junction 20 from the East or Junction 19 from the West. It can also be easily reached from the West End of Glasgow or from the City Centre. Please see the map below.

The parking restrictions prevent on the road parking during rush hour (before 9.30am and from 4pm to 6.30pm). From 9.30am to 4pm parking charges apply. During the early morning and early evening periods it is often possible to park beside the petrol station in Woodlands Road, or in one of the adjacent side roads. From approximately 4pm onwards (rush hour) Woodlands Road is fairly busy heading towards the motorway so please allow some additional time.
