Pharmacy: Tincture 1:5 45%.
Indications: Infectious & allergic conditions affecting eyes, middle ear, sinuses & nasal passages
Eyes: conjunctivitis, blepharitis, red eye, stye, poor visual acuity due to eyestrain or diabetes, eyes itch & sting, corneal opacity.
Ear, Nose & Throat: watery catarrh, hay fever, chronic sneezing, inflamed nasal mucosa, relaxed tonsils & sore throat.
Misc: As a lotion during measles to prevent future eye troubles.
Tea said to strengthen memory & improve circulation of brain
Constituents: Iridoid glycosides: aucubin, Flavonoids, Tannins, Lignans, Phenolic Acids
Actions: Aucubin (iridoid glycoside) is anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory & antispasmodic.
