Insurance Related Qualifications

Many of our Glasgow clients are able be able to reclaim the cost of selected treatments from BUPA or other healthcare plan or health insurance provider. The main practitioner qualifications and their awarding body for a range of therapies/therapists in the clinic are available below. Please check with your insurance document/insurer if in doubt as information may change without notice.

If you have a Cash Plan from Health Shield then you should be able claim for some treatments with us. We can provide an additional receipt with practitioner qualifications on request. Depending on the level of cover you have will depend on how much you can reclaim for any treatments you have. Other health plans include Westfield Health and Simply Health. Private Medical Insurance: If you have private medical insurance with BUPA, PPP or Health Shield then you may be able to access treatments such as MLD, Acupuncture or Reflexology. Specific details will depend on the policy you have.

* Healthshield Physiotherapy. Chiropractic, Osteopathy, Acupuncture and Homeopathy benefits vary with policy.

** Healthshield Insurers lists will be reviewed every year and they can only pay claims for the treatments listed above if they are in your current Membership Plan. The practitioner’s qualifications, registration or membership must be relevant to the treatment that they are providing.

*** Some therapies may be available only after referral from a consultant (e.g. MLD). Please consult your provider for details.

**** Reflexology status varies with plan. Please check your documentation as may may covered and may only cover 50% of cost
