Integrated Myofacial Therapy IMFT in Glasgow

Integrated Myofascial therapy (IMFT) is a safe, gentle, and effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle, sustained pressure into the Fascial system to decrease pain and restore movement. This approach looks at the body and acknowledges where the pain is but looks elsewhere for the cause.
What to Expect During an IMFT Treatment?
IMFT is performed directly on the skin without oils or creams over minimal clothing. Shorts are ideal; ladies should wear a vest top and a regular bra rather than a sports bra. IMFT is performed lying and sitting on the massage table. This approach is gentle and pain-free, and very effective. Reactions to IMFT vary. During the treatment, you may experience involuntary twitching, which is usually a sign of tight muscles and restricted fascia releasing. It is common to find the therapy profoundly relaxing and notice a reduction in your pain and improved mobility over the following few days. Emotions are often released during the treatment, and you may experience heightened emotions for a few days after the treatment until you have processed everything that has come up. Everyone responds differently
How Integrated Myofascial therapy works and where it can be helpful.
During the treatment, the therapist detects fascial restrictions and applies light sustained pressure to facilitate the release of the fascia.
