Aromatherapy massage uses essential oils, extracted from plants and trees in conjunction with massage to promote health and healing in body, mind and spirit. Relaxing, invigorating or anti-inflammatory essential oils may be used to treat a wide range of problems. In our Glasgow clinic trained aromatherapists can tailor both the essential oils used and the massage to the client's needs.
What to Expect during an Aromatherapy Massage Treatment
Aromatherapy massage is normally performed on a couch and the client will undress to their underwear
Following a short consultation which will include relevant medical questions and asking what you would like from the treatment the aromatherapist will prepare a blend of aromatherapy essential oils to use during the massage. These will be mixed with a "base" oil (e.g. Sweet almond oil).
Treatments normally last an hour
After the massage drink plenty of water to flush out any toxins released
